Noteless has developed a SaaS platform that leverages artificial intelligence to simplify medical note-taking for doctors. The tool captures conversations between doctors and patients, filters out irrelevant information, and generates finalized medical notes—saving doctors considerable time in front of the computer.
"We conducted studies at Haukeland Hospital, which showed that 60% of doctors spend more than half their day writing medical notes. That’s a lot of time that can now be used for other things," says Co-founder and CEO William Vossgård to TV2.
Just one year after its launch, Noteless had already secured 300 general practitioners as customers across Norway, achieved a monthly revenue of around NOK 2 million, and grown to a team of 14 employees. The company has also attracted investments from firms such as Farvatn Venture Capital, Futurum Ventures, and Tidligfasefond Vestland.
"We work around the clock, and we reinvest all the money we earn back into the company. Over the past few months, we've been hiring as fast as we can, and we will continue doing so moving forward," says Vossgård.
Pilot Projects and Support from the Research Council
In October 2024, Noteless was named "Health Startup of the Year" at the Health Technology Conference, recognizing the company’s innovative contributions to the healthcare sector. They have also received support from the Norwegian Research Council’s SkatteFUNN scheme and have partnered with several healthcare organizations. In January 2025, they launched a pilot project with Helse Møre og Romsdal HF.
"We look forward to exploring how AI can support clinical teams by reducing administrative tasks. By testing Noteless in our psychiatric and child and adolescent psychiatric clinics in Molde, Ålesund, and Kristiansund, we aim to assess how this technology can enhance workflow efficiency and patient-centered care," says Odd Arne Maridal, CIO at HMR.
