Calm Tech Cafe welcomes you to a morning workshop, bringing together students, designers, engineers, founders, and educators interested in technology that respects human attention.
The program opens with a talk by Amber Case, founder of the Calm Tech Institute and author of Calm Technology (O'Reilly, 2015), on attention, meaningful time, and pass-through technology. Case will then join Tobias Dahl for a conversation about how Calm Tech Cafe and the Calm Tech Institute began and opportunities of building a Calm Tech community in Norway. Later sessions include a talk by Børge Strand-Bergesen of Henry Audio on developing calm hardware from concept to prototype, a session on planning for global scale from the start, and more.
The morning closes with open discussions on bringing Calm Tech into Norwegian education and on whether to form an Innovation Cluster through Innovation Norway. Lunch follows for anyone who wants to continue the conversation.
