The goal of this series is to create a meeting place for everyone interested in advanced microchip and sensor technology in Norway. Coffee and Chips gives companies the opportunity to promote their work, while researchers can share insights into the latest developments in their fields.

CC-NorChip collaborates with a number of Norwegian and European communities to strengthen the region's position in advanced technologies.
"If we're going to succeed with that, it's also important for us to have various meeting places where we can listen to what needs exist," Vegard Standeren Olsen, researcher at SINTEF Digital and head of CC-NorChip.
For Olsen and the team, "Coffee & Chips" is as much about relationships as it is about research.
"The idea is to meet at sunrise over a cup of coffee, to be inspired by different speakers and discuss how we can best help various players," he says.
For Forskningsparken, "Coffee & Chips" is an example of how good frameworks and informal meeting points can help build bridges between research and industry. The event takes place at Parken Bakeri — right in the heart of the park — and invites conversations that often become the start of new collaborations.
