On June 6th, students from all over the country will gather at Oslo Science Park to compete for the title of "Norway's best student company". They will also gain unique experiences for the future.

“This year's Norwegian Championship will be a day full of activity! There are 21 student companies and 30 jury members from the business world participating in the five categories being competed in. Prior to the event, the companies have submitted business plans and IPR plans, and on the actual day, they will pitch, have jury dialogues, and have stands where jury members and other interested parties can come and get to know them better," says Grete I. Nykkelmo, CEO of Ungt Entreprenørskap.

Ungt Entreprenørskap is behind the educational program "Studentbedrift" and the annual Norwegian Championship. The students participating have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills in business establishment, gain practical work experience, and collaborate with other students and potential employers.

NM Studentbedrift is open to anyone who would like to watch. The programme at Oslo Science Park on June 6 is free of charge (pitch and stands).

"The students participating have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills in business establishment, gain practical work experience, and collaborate with other students and potential employers."

“One of the things the participants value the most is the opportunity to meet professionals from the business world and showcase themselves and their products and services to people who work in this field and can provide feedback on their work and solutions. The students gain valuable experience and build networks from which they can benefit greatly on later occasions," says Nykkelmo.

The participants have been working on their companies for up to a year and have qualified through regional competitions to represent their school in the Norwegian Championship. The winner in 2023 was Oslo Analytic SB from the Master's in Entrepreneurship at OsloMet and represented Norway at the European Championship for student companies, Gen-E 2023.

Last years winners, Oslo Analytics.

One of the judges is Bjørn Erik Reinseth, CEO of Oslo Science Park. He has previously been a judge in Norwegian Championships for both school and student companies.

“As always, I expect impressive creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. I would argue that what Ungt Entreprenørskap brings out through its work strongly drives value creation in Norway," says Reinseth.

Grete I. Nykkelmo and the rest of the team at Ungt Entreprenørskap encourage everyone at Oslo Science Park to drop by:

“Anyone curious about the exciting companies is welcome to meet them at their stands in Glassgata from 12-2 PM on June 6th. Who knows, maybe you will meet your next employee or a future business partner?”
