Oslo Science Park was built in 1989 as a tool to strengthen collaboration between industry and research. Its main purpose was never more research, but the commercialisation of it – and that purpose still holds. Today the park is home to Oslo's largest innovation community, where more than 300 organisations, including 190 startups, form a vibrant environment where ideas can be tested and grow.

Incubators

An incubator offers expertise, networks and funding to early-stage companies. Oslo Science Park is the full or part owner of three incubators, each covering its own field. We are also home to the University of Oslo's student incubator, Insj UiO.

It has close to 100 active member companies at any given time and has invested in more than 130 companies since its launch.
